About GPT Cloak
GPT Cloak is a free editor for AI-assisted writing. It checks a draft for the patterns that make text read as machine-made, then rewrites it, re-checking each attempt a limited number of times and checking for changes in meaning. These checks can miss mistakes; review every result. If it can't get a pass, it tells you.
Why it checks its own work
A rewriter that never looks at its own output can't tell you whether it worked. GPT Cloak runs the checks on every rewrite, feeds what they flagged into the next attempt, and verifies the finished text as a whole. When it can't get every check to pass, it says so plainly and shows you which ones didn't.
What it won't do
- Claim a pass from a detector it didn't actually call.
- Present the rewriting model's own opinion as an independent detector.
- Promise perfect factual accuracy. Safeguards aim to preserve claims, numbers and quotes; detected meaning drift produces a warning, and you still need to review the output.
- Charge you, lock features behind a plan, or cap how many words you can use.
Use it well
GPT Cloak is built for polishing drafts you're responsible for: blog posts, product copy, emails and reports. Follow the rules of wherever you're submitting your writing. Schools and publishers often have their own policies on AI help.
